No, never heard of them in North America. I read the press release and it makes reference to PCI and Degussa. We know Degussa as a very large and reputable manufacturer of glazes for the ceramic industry. Would like to find out why they make the claim that Nanolight is the best adhesive for ceramic, glass and even steel tiles. The article mentions nano technology, which sounds like ahesive made from very fine particles. This may lead to better adhesion to tiles, but with respect to glass, that may not be the issue. More critical to the proper installation of glass tiles is the increased flexibility of the thinset, a factor that contributes to the overall reduction of stresses.
I would like to wait and read the literature as well as to glass tile specific tests that they may have performed.
